Coach Ben started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade with East Side Lacrosse and Warrior before going on to do great things with Brother Rice High School and the Juiced Cherries club team. He has committed to Robert Morris University where he will begin his collegiate lacrosse career. Coach Ben brings his training and playing experience to our girls as coach of our high school player training clinics and Summer tournament teams.

Coach Mitch has been with Motor City since 2020 and is a former club lacrosse player and high school player at DeLaSalle where he was an Academic All-American. Coach attends MSU and is studying for an engineering degree while he gives back to our players, passing along the technical skills he learned in his 8 years of lacrosse.

Coach John founded the Motor City Machine Lacrosse Club in 2018 after directing East Side Lacrosse from 2006-2017. He is the current director of Motor City and is a US Lacrosse Certified Coach for Women’s Lacrosse.  Coach John played lacrosse for DeLaSalle and club lacrosse for MSU before coaching youth lacrosse in 2005. Coach’s teams have earned multiple championships in the U13 through U17 divisions and player alumni have gone on to win high school State and CHSL championships, play for collegiate programs in D1, D2, NAIA and professional box lacrosse.

Coach Carlee is the Head Coach of Henry Ford II’s varsity girls team and played attack for Lawrence Tech University where she was a scholarship player and WHAC champion in her junior year. Carlee played high school lacrosse at HF2 and enjoys giving back to her alma mater where she worked as an assistant before taking over as head coach. Carlee played travel lacrosse in high school to help prepare for her spring season and looks forward to helping lead our girls in their summer tournament season.

Coach Kayla began her lacrosse career at Regina High School and was recruited to play at the collegiate level for Siena Heights University. She played as a midfielder for the Saints and was also part of their first team to qualify for the national tournament in 2018. Coach Parks currently holds multiple records at SHU including most draw controls in a game and season and most ground balls in a game and season. Parks was also 2nd team all WHAC in 2017 and 2018 as well as Academic All WHAC in 2017 and 2018. Coach Parks has coached previously at Homestead Lacrosse Club in Fort Wayne, IN and locally at Chippewa Valley High School. She is currently the head coach at Rochester University.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What experience does my player need to play summer tournament lacrosse?

The requirements vary by age group with less experience being required at the youth levels vs. high school. That said, one of our program goals is to lift up the level of high school play in our area. As a result, we only require one year of experience in order to play and teams will be rostered and placed in tournaments according to team strength where tournament hosts permit.

  • When is the registration period?

Summer registration is open between mid-April and the first week of June however teams may be filled before registration officially closes. Partial season options are available to avoid summer vacations.

  • What is included in the registration fee?

Player registration fees are intended to cover uniform costs, practice and training time charges, field usage fees, ref and tournament fees, equipment and coaching costs.

Travel costs including room and board (where applicable) are not included and must be accounted for by each player’s family. We will not be providing a team bus or chaperoned travel for our tournament events.

  • How can I register my child?

Online registration can be completed via the registration link on this page.

  • How much are the registration fees?

Registration fees will vary for each team dependent upon the number of practices, games, tournaments, coaches and uniform costs and will be reported on this page.

  • Will the team be staying in the same hotel at distant venues?

We will notify everyone of individual tournament requirements for hotel reservations as some require we use certain properties. If not, we will establish a hotel property that will serve as our home base for the weekend but your stay there will not be mandatory. Please note that we believe camaraderie away from the field is important however our coaching staff will not be responsible for watching your player away from the field. Please plan to have an adult parent or guardian with your child during the tournament weekends.
