2025 MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM SPRING SEASON INFO:
Teams: We are re-starting our girls youth teams this spring for players in 3rd-8th grade! We may combine age groups into one team if there is interest and our numbers require. We may also offer a training option if our numbers are just short for a given age group. Our goal is to get our girls playing so they can play at a high level in high school!
Equipment: We encourage all players to get a stick (GAIT or STX sticks recommended) and ball to do some at-home practice by themselves on the wall or just by doing some flips and catches indoors to get comfortable with their stick.
Schedule: The spring season will run from the 3rd week in March to the end of May. We will begin practices on Sunday evenings at the PSC and will add Saturday practices in April. Our games will be scheduled whenever possible on weekends.
Games: We know our girls love to compete! As soon as we have enough players rostered, we will begin scheduling games with local teams and/or register for multi-game round robins and spring tournaments.
Indoor Field Locations: Indoor practices will be held at the Premier Sports Center in Shelby (north side of 23 Mile, west of Hayes) and is located at 14901 23 Mile Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315.
Outdoor Field Locations: Once weather conditions permit and the outdoor fields are playable, we will be playing at Macomb Town Center and Macomb Corners Park. Both are on 25 Mile Road between Luchtman and Broughton Roads.
Registration Requirements: Spring registration requires individual players to purchase the following:
1) Googles, mouthguard, uniform and stick (if you need help with the purchase of a stick, please let us know!)
2) Membership with USA Lacrosse (apply for membership at www.usalacrosse.com and be sure to link to our club “Motor City Machine”.
Registration Deadline: March 15th, 2025
Participation Fees: Player fees are $325/player which covers our indoor training sessions; additional fees for outdoor field costs, game officials costs, tournament entries, team equipment and coach stipends.
Team Communications: We will be utilizing email, Instagram and our website for team communications such as schedule, any cancellations due to weather and other game day info.
